God so loved the word that He sent his only Son. The first thing Jesus did was to form a “Committee of followers” (the 12 Apostles.) Jesus asked them to accept the responsibility of being good stewards of His word and mission.
St. Paul has a fairly new Stewardship Commission, led by Gary Meier, who is ready to work with Fr. Yamid to set our parish on a path of greater involvement and commitment to our parish. Our Stewardship Commission will be a standing committee of the Finance Council. Their role will be to raise awareness of a stewardship way of life, to provide an annual stewardship renewal for parishioners to rededicate themselves to the parish and to work with the staff and committees to further the growth of St. Paul ministries and programs.
The Stewardship Commission began their work this year by completing an evening of discovery with Barb Vite from the Development Office of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Barb led the committee members, staff and councils through a discernment process of what our parish does right and where we need to work. They will soon be receiving the results from Barb and will present them to both the Parish and Finance Councils and seek direction on the next steps.
Stay tuned for more!
